What will this Position will Offer You?
The Candidate should be able to review requirements, specifications and documentation to gain a thorough understanding of the programs and processes to be certified. Ensures the quality of the software is provided for release to production by creating software test scenarios and test scripts, execution of software test scripts, analysis of test results and the reporting of quality issues. Will coordinate with system developers to communicate test results and resolve defects. Will identify software issues and enter data in defect management systems. Create testing metrics for project management in order to assess stability and status of all testing activities.
Provides or validates estimates for assigned tasks. Creates and modifies test scripts to certify system changes. Develops test control databases. Maintains test databases and ensures their integrity and currency. Distributes test data from control database to development staff to satisfy adequate unit testing. Assists with configuration management tasks on a project (test scripts, source code control, coordination of requirement changes) as required. Releases completed projects into production. May write trace-ability matrices and test reports. May perform program changes or develop software programs as required.
Position Requirements:
* Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* 5-7 Years of related experience
* Required to work independently and systematically to ensure thorough technical and database testing is complete throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
* Good technical writing skills
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong planning & organizational skills
* Extremely detailed oriented
* Ability to perform thorough analysis of the Software Requirements Documents to ensure completeness and testability of requirements
* Ability to create technical test scenarios, technical and database test scripts
* Ability to coordinate with system developers to communicate test results and resolve system defects
* Ability to report all software issues identified into the designated defect tracking database
* Ability to communicate with the QA Manager, Project Manager, and/or software developers on Software Test concerns
* A working knowledge of DOD and Intelligence Community policies.
* Ability to work at the client site (NMEC) when required.
