ManTech is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (SR. ISSO) to support the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with operations and management (O&M) in support of risk management framework (RMF).

This is a multi-tasking environment that demands customer service, communication, and organizational skills. A successful candidate will have the willingness to develop the ISSO staff to help meet ManTech’s missions with little or no supervision. Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions. Professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, and performs in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.

Travel locally within Maryland & Virginia when needed is required. There may be limited times that travel would be necessary outside of this region. Must be willing to travel 10%

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide mentoring and leadership, for the information security team as a senior ISSO. Implementation of security controls to ensure all systems can meet security accreditation mandates and guidelines.

  • Responsible for ensuring all information system security directives, policies, standards, and controls are enforced. Ensure the government's security requirements are met, complying with applicable policies, and security service and IA service requirements to protect the Government's Information Systems (IS)

  • Responsible for activities associated with delivery of Cybersecurity policy implementation and network solutions associated with customer-defined systems and software projects.

  • Assist with development, maintenance, and enforcement of security policies including but not limited to System Security Plans (SSPs), Contingency Plans (CP), Incident Response Plans (IRP), Configuration Management Plans (CMP), Appendices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and building Body of Evidence (BOE) required to obtain and maintain Authorizations to Operate (ATOs). Assist with and track completion of information security continuous monitoring (ISCM).

  • Manage customer assets within tools such as Service NOW (SNOW) in a fast-paced and dynamic client-site environment and take charge of cyber tasks in government facilities, including full life cycle Risk Management Framework (RMF), vulnerability management, inspections, governance, and training.

  • Ensure that security risks and findings are appropriately documented and provide solutions to remediate issues while allowing systems to remain operational and compliant in a mission-first environment.

  • Participates in the remediation of audit findings and understands the operational impact of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • Participate in completion of government established industry self-inspection and assessments; assessment & authorization (A&A), other audits as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or other cyber discipline. Can be substituted for associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • 4+ years minimum of related ISSO experience

  • Meet DoD 8140.01 certification requirements (IAT level I); (IAT level II desired)

  • Experience controlling, labeling, virus scanning, auditing tools, and secure data transfer between information systems.

  • Must have experience in writing documentation and implementing requirements and security controls found in, NIST, ICD, DAAPM, JSIG, OMB, FIPS (i.e., circulars, memos, directives, manuals, instructions, and guides).

  • Previous NRO experience is highly desired with the ability to document policy and controls related to RMF highly desired.

Security Clearance Requirements :

  • Must have active/current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph; required to apply for this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
